Our Communities

Our reputation rests on our contribution to all the communities we operate in. An intrinsic part of this is supporting charities and other community-related activities, locally and nationally.

Our offices and our people are actively involved in their communities, and in Ireland we actively support local community initiatives. At the national level, we have developed a series of community engagement programmes to ensure that Savills Ireland is firmly engaged with the communities we serve.

In line with our ethos of recruiting and retaining the best people, we’ve made community engagement an integral part of our graduate training programme. As well as delivering social benefits, we believe greater community engagement increases employee commitment and provides real-life development opportunities.  Here is a description of some our CSR projects.

Savills relationship with Focus Ireland has entered its sixth year and as the economic environment changes so does the nature of the assistance Savills employees offer.  Savills employees are currently providing Focus with advice on a range of property related issues.

Savills is delighted to have established a partnership with the Solas Project.  Based in Dublin 8, Solas Project helps young people to overcome limitations imposed on them by social and educational disadvantage through the adventure of discovering their abilities and self-worth.

Bringing these two organisations together will provide Savills employees with the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities that will have a genuine impact on people in our community.  From professional advice and mentoring, to education and fundraising, there will be no shortage of ways for Savills people to get involved.

The initiative may only be getting started but already Savills has seen a large percentage of its workforce sign up for various events.  The first of these was the Solas Project Rugby Blitz where 12 Savills volunteers helped to organise and coach 150 children from Dublin’s inner city in a tag rugby competition. Next up is the Pulse Triathlon in which several Savills teams will compete and raise funds on behalf of Solas Project.

The positive response to the first couple of events is extremely encouraging and will provide significant momentum for the future.

Savills volunteers are currently being recruited to various educational programmes that will assist and encourage young people to stay within the education system.

Shortly Savills will commence its first major fundraising project which is to raise funds to buy a mini-bus and the ideas being discussed are sure to embed the Solas/Savills relationship even further.
