Savills have announced some new openings with Semichem joining an impressive line-up of retailers at Rushmere Shopping Centre, Craigavon whilst Poundland opens at Magowan West, Portadown, both capitalising on the Christmas trade.

Rushmere has welcomed Health, Beauty and Household products retailer Semichem who have taken c.160 sq. m. and opened this month. Other recent newcomers to the scheme include The Christmas Shop, Calendar Club and Teddy Mountain. Rushmere is going from strength to strength, and has had year on year increases in footfall for the 13th consecutive month, beating the UK trend.

Semichem’s Property Manager Graeme McLean stated:

“We have been seeking representation in Rushmere for some time, given its strong trading performance, and are delighted to now to have a store, particularly as its already trading signifcantly above expectations.”

Portadown’s Magowan West has also welcomed the opening of Poundland who have secured a 650 sq.m. store opposite DV8 and Peacocks. This is one of six stores Poundland are opening in the NI.

Anne-Marie Lonergan, Director of Savills, says “Poundland is a great addition to the scheme and have a very prominent location fronting out onto the carpark, and will undoubtedly attract further customers. This opening also coincides with a letting to Good Food Frozen Foods who have taken a 118 sq.m. unit. Both retailers are now well positioned to take advantage of the busy Christmas trading period.”

Poundland and Good Food join DV8, NV, Esprit, Benetton, Boots and Centra and others at Magowan West.
