A day in the life of a new homes development manager

A typical work day usually starts between 8am and 9am depending on what’s in the diary. The New Homes team is based out of our office on Molesworth Street but I’m out and about a lot between site visits, client meetings and individual viewings.

I’ve always adored property but I particularly love the variety of New Homes. We’re often involved throughout the entire life cycle of the development from suggesting tweaks to plans that best reflect market demand to marketing a launch and progressing sales through to completion. In any given day we’re not only speaking with clients and purchasers but we could also be talking to photographers, art directors, solicitors, media agencies, web designers and journalists.

As much as I enjoy being out of the office, the day can fly by so it’s nice to get a solid couple of hours at my desk so I can check in and catch up on emails.

We have a really experienced team and each person brings a different set of strengths which is invaluable when advising our clients. We’re constantly communicating about our various projects and bouncing ideas off each other. Autumn season is one of our busiest times so we’ll have regular team meetings to go through the plan for upcoming launches, sales progression and market updates.

It's incredibly satisfying to see a project come to life and to see people moving in to their much longed for property. We’re gearing up for a really exciting launch season and we feel very fortunate to be selling some of the best properties on the market.
