Us&Co, the up-market serviced office provider, has officially opened its first Dublin office.
Following the acquisition of 5 Schoolhouse Lane East, Dublin 2 – a 16,000 sq. ft. newly refurbished office building in Dublin’s city centre – the London-based firm has carried out an extensive fit-out at a cost of €2.5m.
The building now comprises 271 desks, with options for private or open-plan working space. On-site facilities include free super-speed Wi-Fi, sophisticated boardrooms with high-tech AV, bike storage with showers and a drying room, 24/7building access, and complimentary tea, freshly ground coffee and sparkling water.
The ground floor of the building has several meeting rooms and a Club Space, open to both internal and external clients. Meeting rooms can be hired by external clients directly via the website. The Club Space features a striking copper bar surrounded by café tables, a sofa and chairs where clients can relax, meet and network or entertain guests. The space can also be hired for events, drinks receptions, parties and other social gatherings with a wide range of catering options.
Us&Co’s expansion to Ireland is a consequence of Ireland’s economic growth coupled with the UK’s Brexit vote, and the firm aims to attract some of the many new businesses currently seeking high quality flexible office space in Dublin. It follows an emerging trend in Dublin which has seen significant growth in the serviced office market, with 410,266 of spaced leased in 2018.

According to Savills Ireland, whose online serviced office brokerage platform Workthere sources space for tenants, demand for flexible office space has grown significantly due to a lack of high quality modern office space under 2,500 sq ft and demand for flexible project related space.

Molesworth Street which lies parallel to Schoolhouse Lane has recently witnessed the development of four new office buildings, attracting the likes of Barclays, AIB, Maples FS and Jet.com to the area.
