Held on Thursday 1 October at Bonhams on Melville Crescent, the event brought together contemporary art, property market insight and philanthropy, showcasing works donated by leading artists including Michael Armitage, Andrew Cranston and Caroline Walker.
The exhibition formed part of Artists for Firefly, an initiative raising funds for Firefly International's work with young people affected by war, displacement and trauma around the world. Artists generously donated their work, with 100% of proceeds from sales supporting the charity's programmes.
Guests enjoyed a private viewing of the exhibition, alongside an update on the latest residential property market trends from Savills research team and a wine tasting experience hosted Good Brothers Wine.
The evening provided an opportunity for clients to engage with both the art and the charity's mission, while learning more about current market conditions and outlooks for the Edinburgh and wider Scottish property markets.
John Forsyth, Head of Savills Edinburgh’s residential team said:
"We were delighted to support Firefly International and bring together clients, colleagues and friends for such a worthwhile cause. The quality of the artwork on display was exceptional, and it was wonderful to see so much engagement with both the exhibition and the charity's work."
Amy Stirling of Firefly International, said:
"We're incredibly grateful to Savills, Bonhams, the participating artists and everyone who attended. Every artwork sold will directly support our work helping children and young people affected by war and conflict.
“It was a wonderful platform for local artists too with purchases completing on the night and enquiries for several artworks continuing beyond the event too.”
Firefly International works with young people in some of the world's most challenging environments, using creative arts and education programmes to help build confidence, resilience and hope.
